Have you ever stayed up late at night pondering what the deeper meaning of 50 Cent’s smash hit “In The Club” was? Is it a metaphor for life? With such profound lyrics such as, “go shorty it’s your birthday, we gon’ party like it’s your birthday,” who doesn’t spend many a sleepless night trying to understand more. I know I do, imagine my disappointment when I finally found a website like MusicExplained.
net which posts numerous interpretations of popular songs, and it didn’t have not even one 50 Cent song. What the song does have is a few albums by Jamiroquai, Elvis and Queens of the Stone Age, a nice start but not in depth enough to get a real following at this point, and on top of everything these analyses are merely the opinions of the contributors to the site, and are still not necessarily what the writer intended to express.

People interested in music sometimes obsess about certain artists, cling to every word and analyze and discuss every lyric. For that reason I can see how a site like this could work were it set up for blogging and open lines of conversation.

As of now the site just doesn’t have anywhere near the amount of song lyrics in its database to satisfy any of its visitors, perhaps if the site grows and has a decent size database it could be popular.
