What would Shazam look like if instead of working with songs it worked with movie trailers? Would it be a service you’d try once or twice, to see what the fuss is all about, and never bother to use again? Or would it become the kind of service to check to decide which movies to watch with your friends, weekend after weekend? All these questions can be answered if you give this recently-released app a try now. Moviepal allows you to capture and share movie trailers, and it lets you do that everywhere.
You can use the app when you’re sitting at home in your couch, and you can use it when you’re in the theater and the trailer’s just come on. It’s all the same, as MoviePal will be able to identify the trailer in question, and let you have it shared with all of your online friends. You can do that via SMS, by e-mail and (of course) through Facebook and Twitter.
MoviePal.tv uses 100% legal recognition technology, and the app comes with a cool feature that can let you know whenever any movie that you’ve tagged is finally released. You can even arrange to go and watch it with all your friends on Facebook and Twitter when that happens.
For now, MoviePal is available only for iOS. You can get it here at no cost.
