That’s what the team behind MePin aims to build: an alternative to having to remember all your passwords, and to creating text documents where you set them down just in case your memory fails you. This Finnish company has created a system that lets you access any site by proving who you are by using your smartphone.
All you have to do is to download the MePin application (currently available for iPhone), and then by launching it you’ll be able to access all your favorite services and sites.
A system like this one is a really novel departure from all the password management systems currently available such as MashedLife and Shibbo. It challenges them radically, and when all of the features that are announced on the site come true (including the ability to authenticate who you are using your USB drive, and support for more and more mobile phones), then it can really become one to watch out for.
