MelonBytes is building the world’s first Experience Encyclopedia. The company has recently launched a community web site for users to share unique experiences from their lives using text, photo and video.
MelonBytes categorizes each experience using the author’s personal attributes, enabling users of the site to search based on location, age, ethnicity and gender. Given the nature of the content, privacy has been taken very seriously. MelonBytes does not permit the author’s last name or email address to be displayed to the public. In addition, users can easily update and edit their privacy settings in a personal control panel after creating a free account.
Since its initial launch in December of 2008, the web site has accumulated over 75 authors and has continued to grow. Anyone over the age of 13 is eligible to sign up for a free account at: http://www.melonbytes.com
MelonBytes offers completely unique content, enabling its users to view the world from a different perspective – to see what other people see, feel what they feel, and experience what they experience. In collecting and categorizing this information, MelonBytes could revolutionize the way people learn from one another.
