MashupCamp.com – Conference for Mashup Developers

MashupCamp.comAre you a software developer that likes to create mashups? If you are, Mashup Camp is for you. Mashups are the latest, hottest thing for Web-based applications.

At least for today. Basically, mashups – as the name implies – take two applications and merge them into some new cool internet tool. For example, if you take your personal data map of biodiesel gas stations in the US and put that on top of a Google map, that would be a mashup of sorts. So, a new annual conference has started to bring Mashup developers together. Called the Mashup Camp and sponsored by all the big guns in the internet world such as Microsoft, IBM, Google, AOL, etc, this camp aims to allow those developers to connect, share, inspire, vent, inform, etc. You missed the 2007 camp, since it just took place last week, but the website will be up and running to let you know what happened at this year’s camp and past camps (they also have blog connections). There is also Mashup University, where people can learn how to develop Mashups.
