According to this site, not one of the tests is required by law. Moreover, they say that Mars recently funded a deadly experiment on rats to determine the effects of chocolate ingredients on their blood vessels. They describe this experiment as a really cruel act; whether it’s true or not, it’s up to you to believe it.
