Little Green Footballs, for some reason the owner of the blog won’t reveal, is the name of this funny and interesting political blog dealing with basically anything and everything international politics, in particular those of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but also the white house, the election campaign, media and other hot topics. It does contain a fair share of internal jokes, but happily all of them get explained in the FAQ section, as are ideology concerns, something lots of blogs should but don’t do.
The site is nicely designed and holds a considerably small amount of ads, which in turn make it easier to read (as long as you feel comfortable with these people’s ideological standpoint). Happily, the site has a well organized tag system and cloud which will allow you to quickly understand what the buzz is all about, plus a long blogroll which will definitely come in handy to go on reading opinion and information about politics. Also very cool for those of you concerned about the future and the people shaping it is what you’ll find in the Resources area, namely some important articles and stats provided by other sources. I was very keen to find a section carrying slideshows, where one can find a collection of pictures and cartoons that have incited controversy around the world in the past years, like the Danish Mohammed cartoons.
