Lists as we have always known them are boring. At least that is what this young startup seems to be screaming at the top of its lungs. List.ly offers a way to create lists which are social by nature, and to which just anybody can contribute. The idea here is letting bloggers and webmasters have collaborative lists published on their blogss and sites, and entice visitors to become further involved with their content.
For example, someone who has a soccer blog can come up with a list of the best ten forwards in the history of the FIFA World Cup, and have everybody nominate his personal favorites. The list will be reassembled each time somebody says what he feels, and the process is going to last as long as people are there visiting the site or blog.
That was only one example. The fact remains that just anything that comes to mind can be aggregated and discussed in these lists. Products, places, services… as long as it is anything that could appeal to people, then it can be the subject of one of these lists.
