“Like” buttons are all over the Internet, and the concept of showing your allegiance to something has never been defined in stronger terms. This new site attempts to capitalize in such a craze by letting people come in, type down what they like, and then have others vote on what they had just submitted.
Some of the likes that were featured on the site when I checked it out included “Being off school”, “The fact that summer holidays are so soon” and the lovey-dovey “I love it when I catch you looking at me”. Awww.
A site like this one would have been unthinkable just four months ago for the mere reason that nobody was immersed in the concept of expressing himself so openly. But now, with Facebook widening the way in which we all interact with others so considerably a site like this one is sure not to go unnoticed. Whether people are going to stick to it or not is another matter, of course. I guess only time can tell.
