I already submitted this but I’m not sure if it worked so I’ll keep this short and sweet. Just check out the site and read their mission statement:.
LifeYak.net In Their Own Words
LifeYak.net is an endeavour pioneered by Joel Gallant in an attempt to learn from, share with, and ultimately help the collective mental health of our modern society. Targetted mostly at the youth, LifeYak strives to discuss certain topics and issues that would be generally unspoken of and hidden in the public conscience, yet are vitally important to the health of our culture. We take advantage of internet technology to maintain a completely free community (“free” as in speech and also as in beer) in which anybody and everybody is able and strongly encouraged to participate in the open trading and debating of concepts that actually affect one’s real life in the real world. We also provide all users with a highly personalizable online profile that includes a personal blog, personal gallery, and a myriad of methods to communicate and interact with each other. Although nothing here should be substituted for actual professional advice, our goal is to provide a prompt response to all situations from the perspectives of various peers as well as special designated advisors. We pride ourselves in the ability to deal with material that would be too private or personal to discuss with family and friends in an effective while still anonymous fashion. Our plan is to facilitate the future growth of LifeYak while accepting help and contributions from others to make this website as functional and helpful as possible.
