Le Moyne College is a diverse learning community that strives for academic excellence in the Catholic and Jesuit Tradition through its comprehensive programs rooted in the liberal arts and sciences. Its emphasis is on education of the whole person and on the search for meaning and value as integral parts of the intellectual life.
One of its main objectives is to prepare its members for leadership and service in their personal and professional lives in order to promote a more just society. It is located in Syracuse, N.Y., and was founded in 1946. It has an enrollment of approximately 2800 undergraduates students and 800 students pursuing graduate work. It offers over 700 courses leading to Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degrees in 31 different majors. It also offers a MBA and master’s degree in teaching, general education, physician assistant studies and nursing. Le Moyne employs approximately 300 faculty, and it maintains a 13-1 ratio of students to faculty, which increment the personal attention to the individual student.
