The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 showcased the latest offerings from tech giants like Samsung, Nothing, and others. Infinix launched its Note 50 series in Indonesia with upgraded batteries, displays, and cameras. The Note 50 starts at IDR 2,699,000 ($165), while the Note 50 Pro begins at IDR 2,999,000 ($182).
Nothing introduced the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro, powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. They feature up to 12GB of RAM, 6.77-inch OLED screens, and 5,000mAh batteries with 50W charging. The Phone (3a) starts at £329 / €329 / INR 24,999, and the Pro’s 12/256GB model is priced at £449 / $459 / €459 / INR 33,999.
ZTE’s Nubia launched the Neo 3 and Neo 3 GT budget gaming phones with shoulder triggers and 120Hz displays. The Neo 3 runs on a Unisoc T8300 chip, while the Neo 3 GT uses a Unisoc T9100 and features a vapor chamber for cooling. Samsung introduced the Galaxy A56, A36, and S26.
The A56 has an Exynos 1580 chip, a 6.7-inch display, and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging, priced at €479/$499. The Galaxy A36 comes with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, and the same battery and charging specs as the A56, priced at $400/€380. The Galaxy A26, using an Exynos 1380 chip, is priced at €300 for the base 128GB model.
Samsung pledged six years of security and OS updates for all three models. Apple debuted its latest MacBook Air with M4 chip, the Mac Studio with M4 Max, a new M3 Ultra SoC, and the new iPad Air with an M3 chip.
MWC 2025 tech highlights and innovations
A new base iPad model (2025) with an A16 SoC and a new Magic Keyboard were also launched. Xiaomi introduced the 15 Ultra and 15, along with the Spark Slim, which is known for its build quality despite being just 5.75mm thick. New flagship earbuds with an in-ear tip design and triple drivers were also revealed.
MWC 2025 featured a range of innovative and quirky gadgets, demonstrating exciting possibilities for the future of technology. Xiaomi and Realme showcased modular concept camera phones that could rival DSLRs. SunLED Life Science’s SunBooster aims to bring sunlight indoors by emitting near-infrared light.
Oukitel unveiled a smartphone with a massive 33,000 mAh battery that can power a projector and serve as a camplight. Infinix introduced a case that captures light to charge phones wirelessly. Huawei’s Mate XT tri-fold phone achieves a 10.2-inch screen when unfolded.
BleeqUp Ranger cycling glasses have a built-in camera for recording rides, while NTT Docomo’s MiRZA AR glasses provide guided experiences for precision tasks. The coolest phones at MWC 2025 included the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which is focused on camera capabilities, and the Nothing Phone 3A and 3A Pro, offering lower-cost options with AI features. HMD introduced several new phones, including the Fusion X1 for teenagers and soccer-themed phones.
Samsung’s Galaxy A series (A26, A36, and A56) provides affordable options with Galaxy AI capabilities. TCL’s 60 phones feature large batteries at competitive prices, while the RedMagic 10 Pro Golden Saga Edition boasts high-end specs and premium materials. ZTE showcased the Focus 2 Ultra with a rotating lens ring, the Nubia Music 2 with a powerful speaker, and the Nubia Flip 2 with a vertical exterior screen.
