Visit this site to find out what’s going on in the Seattle music scene, as it is home for a local R&B hit music station. You can listen online to streaming audio, or to specific shows, and all the shows that are available for on-demand listening can be downloaded as podcasts.
Interviews and profiles of the radio hosts can be read on the site, alongside with some archives. As is the case with most FM stations, a variety of predefined and syndicated content can be seen on the site, including news, charts and on-demand videos and songs that are available for US IP addresses only. All this is good, but it still seems that the whole point of having local radio stations is that those who don’t live in the area can get to learn about the Seattle scene by reading/listening to interviews, profiles or maybe get some highlight in the homepage pointing to interesting new talent. I was disappointed to see that the events calendar, for instance, will only allow viewers to find out about shows and concerts, venue and artist name, but will not get any extra information on whether the tour is of any interest, or get a link to the artists’ sites or social network profiles, nor to buy the tickets online.
