As a parent, you’re ready to do whatever it takes to be there for your kids. It doesn’t matter if you have to sacrifice hours of sleep just to get your work done, you’ll do it more than willingly. But thankfully, there’s apps like this one that let you be around for your kids without having to go to extremes. Korrio is a management tool for parents or coaches of young athletes. If you’re either, then this handy tool lets you schedule games and communicate with other parents using a simple interface that brings everything under the same roof.
This Seattle-based startup lets you manage everything both from your desktop computer and from your mobile, in a way that’s completely secure. Thanks to Korrio, you can do all it takes to run a youth sports program right on your browser. And the kids will get to connect among themselves, and hold both pre- and post-game discussions.
And in addition to all its basic administrative features, Korrio lets you share media such as photos and game notes with other parents. In fact, you can even check weather conditions and get driving directions on your smartphone.
Just as importantly, Korrio complies with COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) and with all State and Federal Laws that protect the identity of minors.
So, what a user can and can’t see is decided based on his role within the league. Protecting the little players is a priority, so that there’s information which is kept from other teammates. Only parents and coaches can see it.
For now, Korrio can be used by managers of soccer teams only. Yet, the company plans to bring this platform to other popular youth sports such as football, basketball and baseball. Stay tuned for further updates.
