Kodesk is based on a premise that is not exactly groundbreaking but that is novel all the same. Essentially, this site lets company owners advertise their unoccupied desks online so that nomad workers can go and work there. In this way, they would be maximizing all the space that they have (and that they are actually paying for), whereas people who have nowhere to go and concentrate while they are working will be able to become part of a true office environment (something that can but make their productivity and focus increase by leaps and bounds). And there is no need for me to tell you that having new people around can but energize all the ones who currently work there – new ideas and inspiration will become readily available for each nomad worker that is invited into any office.
The site features both a live feed where you can learn about the new spaces that have been added to the database, and a map showing you where all the available desk currently are. The whole world is actually covered. Yet, these territories that see the most activity are the United States and the whole of Western Europe.
