Almost 30 states in the US have either legalized or decriminalized various forms of cannabis for recreation, medical purposes, or both, despite it remaining illegal under federal law. The number of states permitting medical marijuana grew by almost 20 percent and the number of states with recreational marijuana doubled in 2016 alone – meaning that 95% of the US population now lives in a state with some form of legalized weed (including CBD). Which means that it’s high time (pun intended) for a social network for marijuana users – and Kannatopia has us covered.

Founded in 2015, Kannatopia is a 21+ “cannabis social community for modern and medical cannabis consumers.” The platform is intended for both enthusiasts and patients, Kannatopia vision is to “connect the cannabis world,” and their mission is to “put an end to social stigmas and stereotypes that exist for medical patients and adult recreational consumers.” The site is meant to be a community for users with similar interests to connect, socialize, share, learn, and explore together.

Kannatopia lets users track and share their favorite strains and cannabis products; message friends with self-destruct chat; recommend gear, places, product and strains to the Kannatopia community; and check out how-to, recipe and travel guides, among other things. The UI is simple and clean, with all of the features easy to find and use.
