JumpStart, a Cleveland-based nonprofit that promotes entrepreneurship, plans to occupy nearly 2,000 square feet in the Constellation Center for Excellence by February. The center, located at 2014 Champions Gateway, is part of the Hall of Fame Village campus—a 100-acre entertainment destination centered around the Pro Football Hall of Fame. We are excited to welcome JumpStart into the Hall of Fame Village family,” said Michael Crawford, president and CEO of the Village.
Their expertise and dedication to nurturing entrepreneurship aligns with our objective of fostering a dynamic ecosystem for innovation. This collaboration marks a pivotal milestone in our journey towards catalyzing economic development and advancement within our local community and extending its impact far beyond.
Last year, JumpStart worked with the Stark Community Foundation and Stark Economic Development Board to establish a local entrepreneur-in-residence program. Entrepreneur Daniel Brown, who co-founded the Rust Belt Riders composting service, has assisted people with starting or growing their businesses since August 2023.
Lorne Novick, chief services officer for JumpStart, said the second-floor space will include Brown’s office and also serve as a site for one-on-one advising and workshops.

Some “incubator-type space” will also be available for clients to demonstrate or sell their products and services temporarily.
Hopefully, if the vision concludes properly, those businesses can either identify space elsewhere in the building or throughout Canton or Stark County to have their own brick and mortar,” Novick said. Novick declined to share the financial terms of the lease but mentioned it is for an initial three years. Due to local interest in the entrepreneurship-in-residence program, there are plans to add a couple of contractors to support Brown.
“We are in Stark County because community members reached out to us and asked us to build this presence,” Novick said. “The proactive desire for our services and programming reflects the community’s needs and our commitment to a long-term presence.”
The Constellation Center for Excellence appealed to JumpStart because of its common areas and complementary tenants, making it an attractive “destination” for in-person work. Other tenants in the mixed-use facility include Starbucks, 20-20 Ventures, and workspace providers.
