JumpStart, a Cleveland-based nonprofit that promotes entrepreneurship, has announced its commitment to opening an office at the Hall of Fame Village. The new office will occupy nearly 2,000 square feet in the Constellation Center for Excellence by February. This center, located at 2014 Champions Gateway, sits on the Hall of Fame Village campus, a 100-acre entertainment destination centered around the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Last year, JumpStart collaborated with leaders from the Stark Community Foundation and Stark Economic Development Board to establish a local entrepreneur-in-residence program. This initiative aims to foster local entrepreneurship and economic development. The Constellation Center for Excellence appealed to JumpStart because of its common areas, complementary tenants, and its attractiveness as a destination for clients.
We are excited to welcome JumpStart into the Hall of Fame Village family,” said Michael Crawford, president and CEO of the Village, in a prepared statement.
JumpStart expands in Hall of Fame
Their expertise and dedication to nurturing entrepreneurship aligns with our objective of fostering a dynamic ecosystem for innovation.
This collaboration marks a pivotal milestone in our journey towards catalyzing economic development and advancement, not only within our local community but also extending its impact far beyond.
Lorne Novick, chief services officer for JumpStart, noted that the second-floor space will include offices, areas for one-on-one advising, workshops, and some “incubator-type space.” This will be available to clients who wish to temporarily demonstrate or sell their products and services. Novick mentioned that if the vision is successfully realized, these businesses might find permanent space either within the building or elsewhere in Canton or Stark County. JumpStart’s presence in Stark County is a result of local interest in the entrepreneurship-in-residence program.
Novick emphasized the community’s proactive desire for JumpStart’s services and programming, which highlights a strong community engagement and a long-term commitment. The Constellation Center for Excellence features various tenants, including Starbucks and 20-20 Ventures, making it a vibrant mixed-use facility. The Hall of Fame Village continues to promote the available space to potential tenants, further enhancing the site’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
