Listening to music is turning into a more and more social experience as each day goes by. JamCloud lets people create online listening rooms to which they can invite others, and then DJ both music and videos to them. And all the people who join a room are empowered to rate and rank the media that is being streamed, in a bid to make it easier for people who come into these rooms at a later time much easier to know which the hottest songs are.
Users of JamCloud can also create their very own stations, and they can have individual songs and even whole playlists imported straight from their YouTube accounts. They can also have songs extracted from the Facebook walls of all their friends, and add them to their live streams.
JamCloud works worldwide. There are no international restrictions on what can and can’t be played, and the JamCloud application (which is available for free) works equally well both on Windows and Mac OS X.
