Imagestation.com – Upload, Edit And Share Photos

Don’t make the mistake of storing your most valuable photo memories on your computer only, use a service like ImageStation.com and put them on the cloud. Sponsored by Sony, this site lets you create as many online photo albums as you wish, and have them shared with all the important people in your life. The idea is that you’ll be able to set down the privacy of each and every album that you’re creating, so that if you want your coworkers to see only some and your close family members to see everything, then that’s not a problem.

As a service, ImageStation is completely free to use. Creating an account costs nothing, and you can sign up for yours by submitting the most basic of information (IE your name, your email address…). And once your account has been created, then you’ll be able to upload an unlimited number of pictures. If you have enough photos to fill fifty different albums, then you’ll get to upload everything. As long as you have the time to create all these albums and put all these images on the cloud, you’ll be able to do it.

And once your albums are ready, sharing them is as easy as sending the links to the people you’ve given permission to see your images.

And if any of the albums that you’ve created is public, then you can simply share the link on Facebook or Twitter, and let the whole wide world see it. And you can even let just everybody comment on it. Which is something you’d like to do if you’ve managed to meet your best-loved musician or sports player, and you want to share your good fortune with the rest of the world.

Plus, you can buy photo prints of any image that you store on ImageStation.com. You can buy mugs and mousepads with them, and have them delivered to your doorstep.

UPDATE: The service was discontinued by Sony on the 1st of February, 2008. The domain ImageStation.com is now for sale.
