Warner Bros. Games announced that the PC version of “Hogwarts Legacy” will receive official modding support on January 30. Players can download mods directly from the game’s main menu.
CurseForge, a popular modding platform, will curate the mods. Alongside the in-game mod support, Avalanche Software releases the “Hogwarts Legacy Creator Kit” modding tool on the same day. The Creator Kit will be available for free on the Epic Games Store.
It will allow modders to create new quests, dungeons, and character enhancements such as cosmetics and skins. Avalanche partnered with mod creators to develop content before the launch to showcase the Creator Kit’s potential.
Hogwarts Legacy modding tools released.

One highlighted mod is the “Dungeon of Doom,” which features a combat-focused dungeon filled with hidden secrets. Other mods include broom replacements, expanded character creation options, and outfit customization. To access the official “Hogwarts Legacy” mods, players must link their Steam or Epic Games Store account to a Warner Bros.
Games account. In addition to the modding announcement, Warner Bros. Games revealed that “Hogwarts Legacy” has sold over 30 million units to date.
The game was the best-selling title of 2023. The modding support is expected to extend the game’s lifespan while the developers work on “Hogwarts Legacy 2.” The sequel is rumored to include live service elements and is being developed using Unreal Engine 5.
