The latest update for Halo Infinite, Operation: Brute Force, has arrived, bringing new playlists, modes, and customization options to the popular first-person shooter. Running from January 7 through February 4, this operation serves as the final installment of the game’s 2024 Winter Update. One of the standout additions is Castle Wars, an 8v8 Capture the Flag mode that takes place across various unique maps.

Players will need to utilize melee moves and the Grappleshot to raid enemy castles, break through defenses, and capture the flag in hit-and-run strikes. The maps featured in Castle Wars include Covenant mining platforms, gondolas, alien ruins, a megalopolis, ancient fortifications, and the Jarok Bridge. Another exciting addition is the return of Action Sack, a playlist that originated in the Halo series and brings mayhem and madness through a variety of modes.

Operation updates and new features

More information about the specific modes available in Action Sack will be revealed later in the operation. Players can also take advantage of the free 20-tier Operation Pass, which includes the Brute-inspired Dominar armor set, Wild Slant armor coating, and Banished Morale Improver weapon charm.

Premium options for the Operation Pass are available for 500 or 2,000 credits, offering additional benefits such as bonus XP, an extra Challenge slot, and exclusive customization items like the Vicious Hydra weapon model and Glorious Ichor weapon coating. The Exchange, where players can spend Spartan Points earned through matches and weekly challenges, will feature customization items to enhance the MIRAGE IIC armor aesthetics. The Savage Inciter super bundle, containing both the Savage and Inciter bundles, is available for purchase and includes Escharum’s Regards death FX and various armor and weapon enhancements.
