HackFwd.com – A New European Incubator

HackFwd.comHackFwd is a new European incubator that has been put together by Lars Hinrichs, the founder of XING. This new pre-seed investment company has a series of characteristics that set it apart from similar resources in American soil, most notably the duration of the programs.

The backing provided by HackFwd is meant to last for a year, as opposed to the ones we are accustomed to here which last a couple of months.

Founders retain 70 % equity, and HackFwd is slated to take 30 %. That is certainly higher than other incubators that take no more than 10 % (just take a look at YCombinator and TechStars, for example). But that higher fee is somehow justified by the longer funding period. And in any case, 3 % of HackFwd’s cut goes back to investors.

In addition to Lars Hinrichs, the board of HackFwd includes Marco Borries, Stefan Richter and Jean Paul Schimetz. You can learn more about them along with how to apply for a program by checking the site now – the provided video introduction is very illuminating.

Why HackFwd.com It Might Be A Killer

The long way in which programs are implemented make it specially suitable to the European scene – a scene that is more of a slow-burner than the States.
