Mac users now have a free, easy way to grab screenshots for sharing or saving to their desktop. GrabUp, a new Mac OS X mini-app, takes advantage of a Mac’s built-in ability to take screen shots, but also quickly uploads the snapshot to the GrabUp.
com server and automatically copies the corresponding URL to your clipboard. On any machine running Mac OS X, you can you can hit Command-Shift-4 and a crosshairs will appear, which you drag from one corner of your desired screenshot to the other. Normally, though, this simply saves a copy to your desktop. Once you have downloaded GrabUp, the selected image will also be saved to the web for easier sharing. Your screenshot is saved privately on GrabUp’s server, and for now, the site says your screenshot will stay saved there indefinitely.
