Google unveils Veo AI video model
Despite these challenges, Google is eager to integrate more generative AI into enterprise operations. The tech giant notes that among companies using generative AI in production, 86 percent report increased revenue. However, a recent study found that the return on investment from AI projects fell by 4.6 percentage points from 2023 to 2024.
Mondelez International, maker of Oreo, plans to use Veo for marketing content creation with agency partners. Google has implemented prompt-level filters and an indemnity policy to address potential copyright issues. The launch of Google’s Veo video generator comes amid a competitive landscape where major tech companies are racing to innovate in AI-driven video technology.
Amazon and Meta have also introduced their own video creation tools targeting advertisers. As of this update, Alphabet’s Class A shares increased by 0.14% in after-hours trading, reaching $171.58, while Class C shares rose by 0.098% to $173.19.
