Few sports are as beloved all over Europe and in South America as soccer. It even has a reasonable following in the States, and a World Cup was actually hosted on American soil (1994).
So, a social site like Goalazo makes a lot of sense. It is nothing more and nothing less than a community site for soccer lovers. Here, they can get down to discussing who the best player is today, who the best player was twenty years ago, and whether or not someone is set to surpass Maradona or Pele, the two ineluctable points of reference all through history.
Naturally, content such as photos and videos can be shared on the site. If you have never seen Maradona’s infamous goal against Peter Shilton in Mexico (1986), you will have a ready chance to do it here.
The name of the site, incidentally, is a play in words. The expression “golazo” in Spanish refers to an outstanding goal (“azo” is a positive suffix denoting something truly remarkable). I will let you determine for yourself if the site will become a golazo, or if it will hit the post.
