Genwi is a social media platform that allows you to subscribe to other websites, see updates from thousands of sites, as well as see updates of your friend’s content from other sites all in one place. Genwi allows you to subscribe to friends’ feeds, RSS feeds and multimedia feeds with community, social network and metadata filtering.
What’s most important is to subscribe to as much content as possible. Once you subscribe, a wire is created so that every time you go to the “My Wire” section of the site you will be able to see updates from your subscriptions. The site becomes truly useful once you’ve subscribed to more than 12 or so feeds. You can browse through the updates from your subscriptions, including your friends’ feeds. If you want to take your time you can go through all of the updates, and if you don’t you can use Genwi’s filters and look at those that might be most interesting. You can choose to view only the most recent updates, the most popular, the highest rated, and even check out the stuff shared with you by your friends.
