This new website lets people recommend these products that they have bought (and fallen in love with) to others, and also to learn about these items others wouldn’t think twice about recommending. It’s all done in a truly open-ended way, with the whole community exchanging tips and insight, and the best of the best products (based on what people are recommending them more frequently) being particularly highlighted.
Of course, items can be browsed by category. More than 30 are already available, with “Sports”, “Travel”, “Books”, “Beauty” and “Apparel” being just some of the categories with the largest number of daily submissions. Submissions itself always follow a similar pattern, with an image of the item in question, a short description and a rating which lets people make it clear whether they are writing about a product they don’t own yet (and that they are really interested in getting), or a product that they currently own themselves (and that they have no qualms recommending to others).
Gangaroo accounts cost nothing, and registration is handled without you having to disclose any kind of sensitive information.
