If you take Twitter seriously then a service like Follow Trial can but resonate with you. It is not going to radically change the way you tweet or anything like that, but it will undoubtedly let you choose who to follow in a more judicious way. Basically, by using Follow Trial you can follow a user for set period of time only. When that time has elapsed, the application will ask you whether you wish to keep on following the person in question or not. If you do, then you will begin following him permanently. If you don’t, then that twitterer will be dropped from the list of people you follow altogether.
These “Twitter trials” can last for as long as 30 days, and you can also keep them short and to the point, and make them last just for 7 days. I suppose t all depends on the amount of people you mean to test out, and how much time you can spend monitoring the kind of updates and messages they tweet.
I find Follow Trial quite an interesting application. I mean, there’s no other tool that lets you do something even remotely similar. Its actual usefulness might be open to debate, but its originality is out of the question.
