Flink Learning allows parents and teachers to download learning activities for 99¢ as easily as they download songs using iTunes. The activities are visually stunning and engaging for children in grades K-5.
There are 3-D backgrounds and a set of branded characters: the Flinksters.
The activities reflect a wide variety of types, from electronic worksheets to instructional games, from math grids to concentration matching puzzles, from e-Books to story-writing activities, from Spelling tests to generated math problems. There are over 3,500 activities in subjects ranging from Math, Reading, Spelling, Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Phonics.
Adults can search for activities by grade, subject, and topic. The Flink Learning application displays all the activity collections that meet the search criteria. Parents and teachers can preview activities before purchasing them. Children use the same application to play their activities. They see a menu with the activity collections, and when they select a collection, they see that collection’s activities.
Downloadable activities provide immediate, targeted help to young children to master learning skills without ever going on the Internet. Once the activities are downloaded, children do not need to have Internet access to use them, making it easier and safer for them. Parents can download the activities on their computer and move them to a child’s computer. Teachers can work at home and bring the activities they purchase to the computers in their classroom.
