FileSend.net is a file hosting service, and a very easy to use one too, as you don’t even have to register to use it.
Here’s how it works: select the file you want to send, and type up to three e-mail addresses, and presto: email sent without waiting long, blocking your local e-mail server, or leaving traces. The recipient(s) of your email get a link to a site from where they can download the stuff you sent to them unlimited number of times, though note that the link opens in a page crammed with banners, and that you can only mail one file per time. If you are not registered to the site, you get 120 MB of free space, though by simply registering you get 300 MB. Premium (paid) members get nothing but 1 GB of storage space. One of the most interesting things about this site is that it will pay users who upload highly popular (frequently downloaded) files; in order to participate in the rewards program, you need to be a premium member, and then you’ll start making one point per download, and once you reach 8,000 points you get free premium services; if you reach 80,000 points you’ll get a year worth of membership and $100, and it continues to grow up to $10,000 depending of the number of downloads your files receive. Not bad for sharing the stuff you’d normally have to share and wait for…
