Fathm is a newly-launched website that aims to take the concept of online polling as we have always known it, and update it for these times we live in – times in which everything is intrinsically social. You see, people who use Fathm are enabled to say what they think about just anything. Others can then vote on these opinions and speak their own minds in turn, until a comprehensive debate in which the pros and cons of just anything has been created. The way everything is structured, the top opinions are always displayed on top, so that people who are new to the site are empowered to see which positions are more widely-accepted, and make more connected statements from the very beginning.
The eventual aim of the site is to become the place where complex issues are openly discussed and debated, and (hopefully) something of a consensus is reached regarding how people should proceed in such cases. Of course, whether people will really begin turning that knowledge into positive action is something entirely different altogether. But it is as good a starting point as any other.
Fathm.net In Their Own Words
Fathm is a new kind of online poll that allows users to explain their positions, then vote on other people’s explanations as well. Over time, the top positions will rise to the top, creating a repository of strong arguments for the world’s toughest issues.
Why Fathm.net It Might Be A Killer
It will let people the world over agree on what should be done when it comes to these situations there is no easy way out of.
