FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have revealed a new game called Elden Ring Nightreign. It is a standalone cooperative spin-off of the popular Elden Ring game. Players will team up in squads of three to defeat the Nightlord in a dark and dangerous world.
The game takes place over a three-day and night cycle. Each day ends with a boss fight, and the final showdown against the Nightlord happens on the third night. The map shrinks with the Night’s Tide, so players must explore and plan carefully.
There are eight unique characters to choose from, each with their own abilities and Ultimates. The game’s environment changes every time, with different enemies, rewards, and map layouts.
Elden Ring’s cooperative journey
This means that no two runs will be the same. Even if players are defeated, they can still earn relics to upgrade their characters. This allows them to customize their play style for future attempts.
The game has action RPG elements, so players can progress their characters through stat bonuses and better equipment. Elden Ring Nightreign aims to provide a condensed action RPG experience that is different from previous FromSoftware titles. It combines changing environments, cooperative gameplay, and session-based progression.
Players can also uncover the stories behind each hero as they progress. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. This means that players on different platforms can join forces or take on the challenge alone.
