Simply put, Drop It To Me lets the ones who are not DropBox users easily send files to those who have an account on the increasingly-popular file sharing service. Drop It To Me works by giving “guests” their own URLs for uploading the files that they want to share with registered DropBox users.
These URLs are all password-protected, and anything that is uploaded to them will be made automatically available to the owner of the corresponding DropBox.
So far, the files that can be shared like this are limited in size. They can’t be larger than 75 MB. But that is going to change once the service moves out of beta, and it begins gaining some real traction.
More and more people are using DropBox, but some are still aloof to the phenomenon. Services such as this one and AirDropper will let those who are still not that motivated to create their own accounts share files with people who are already there, until they make up their minds.
