The folks at Dipity who specialize in the development of online interactive timeline solutions, have recently launched a new timeline mashup for YouTube. With Timetube, you simply enter a keyword that you are interested in, and it quickly generates a full chronological timeline of each video that has been uploaded that includes that keyword or keywords.
Entering “U2” for example gives you every video that has been uploaded onto YouTube and they are organized according to when they were uploaded. Once your visual map is ready, you can click on any of the videos and start watching them either in the order they were uploaded or however you choose.

The TimeTube visual map is a really great way to search for videos and this could be a popular alternative way of searching on Youtube. Some Questions About Dipity.com/mashups/timetube
Would it be possible for them to add options that would allow you to get back timelines according to when the video was produced instead of just when it was uploaded? This would obviously require significant development but a search for U2 would be much better if it gave results based on when the actual video was released and not on when someone decided to upload it.
