Cyberport, Hong Kong’s digital technology flagship, celebrated the graduation of 190 startups from its incubation programs. The Cyberport Entrepreneurship Programmes Graduation Ceremony and Info Day 2024 marked this milestone. Cyberport provides support for startups, including training, guidance, and funding.
Graduates also received free office space and holistic support to accelerate their growth. The event included the Cyberport Startup Alumni Association 2024 Annual General Meeting, facilitating networking among graduates and alumni. The Cyberport Professional Services Network Summit offered free consultation from experts to assist startups in expansion and fundraising.
Simon Chan, Chairman of Cyberport, highlighted the organization’s commitment to fostering an innovation and technology ecosystem. Cyberport has nurtured one publicly listed company and eight unicorns.
Cyberport marks milestone with graduates
During the 2023/24 fiscal year, nearly 130 companies joined the Cyberport Incubation Programme, increasing the total number of incubated startups to 1,316. These companies are driving smart city development and the digital economy. This year’s graduates have made achievements in sectors such as artificial intelligence, fintech, Web3.0, and smart living.
Notable graduates include FCC Analytics, Moonfare Asia, Diginex Solutions, EmergentX, Votee AI, SPEEQO, Avalon SteriTech, Papabo, Make the Dot, Kicks-Crew, Digital Art Fair Asia, and TELEPORT Immersive. Cyberport startups have collectively raised more than HK$41.2 billion in funding, won over 1,600 industry awards, secured more than 500 intellectual properties, and joined over 270 global accelerator programs. These achievements underscore the innovative capabilities and global competitiveness of Cyberport’s entrepreneurial community.
Cyberport has evolved from a “super-connector” to a “super value-adder,” enabling local startups to explore development opportunities both domestically and internationally. The organization has supported over 300 incubated companies in expanding to around 35 overseas markets and has attracted startup founders from 25 countries and regions.
