The service that makes that possible is named Croon My Tune, and it will enable anybody to key in a message and pick a classic tune to act as the backbeat. The company then takes care of choosing a singer (using Amazon’s Mechanical Turk) and when the piece is finished it will be put your recipient’s (digital) way. So far, the results can be sent through e-mail, Twitter and also Facebook
This service comes at a fixed cost ($ 4.99 as of the time of writing this), and the actual uses it can be put to depend on each actual user. While sending salutations and apologies will obviously top the list, there is no real reason why this service couldn’t be used to invite people to parties or launch events. You can be as creative as you want – it is all supported.
