CollegeMedium, another entry into an increasingly busy classifieds market, targets the college crowd. The site currently work with a handful of Georgia based universities, including Georgia Tech, Westwood Collgege, Mercer University and Bauder.
If your school isn’t listed, send the CollegeMedium folks an email. Students can log in directly with their Facebook ID’s. Non-students can post items e.g. jobs, housing or items for sale, but only students will be able to respond (posting doesn’t require registration). All ads can be targeted to specific universities. Categories are pretty standard, i.e. jobs, rides, housing, for sale, and let’s talk, which is similar to Craiglist’s community section. CollegeMedium has also got RSS feeds for each uni, and it’s free for all users.

CollegeMedium, unlike other sites in this market, affords users an easy way to search and target multiple locations (something Craigslist lacks). The site’s partnering with Facebook increases its credibility as the social network is already hugely popular. Over all, it’s pretty easy to navigate and its search capabilities are a breeze to use.

Another thing–to use CollegeMedium you need a Facebook ID—there should be another way to register without having to go through Facebook, particularly as the social network is open to everyone, not just students.
