It seems that sites like eBay and Amazon have just become too big for some. That’s what I have to think after coming across a website like Classfy, at least. Classfy is a new online marketplace that aims to be simpler and faster to use than anything else on the Internet. This new site can be joined and used for free. Listing anything on Classfy costs nothing, and there are no transactional fees to be paid for these items that you manage to sell.
And Classfy is also an open marketplace in the sense that it lets you sell items both by posting classified ads, and by auctioning them. In all cases, you can accept payments in the way that would work best for you. You can be paid online either via PayPal or Dwolla, you can accept nothing but cash payments… you can arrange whatever you think would make the transaction safer.
Still, Classfy doesn’t distance itself completely from eBay. You can bring your online identity there into Classfy, and let your customers know about your true background and experience as a seller. As a matter of fact, you can even bring your Facebook identity into Classfy. What better way to let them get to know you, and gain their trust even faster?
