The social network formerly known as FatDoor is trying to undo its Web 2.0 failure in its latest incarnation Center’d.
This time around, Center’d is touting itself as a local search engine and an event planning application. Event planning is never easy. There’s always the coordination factor–getting everyone together at a certain date, time and place—which is almost always a monumental task. Even a trip out of town with your SO can be a relationship killer. Where are you going to stay? What are you going to eat? How much can we afford? These are things that require some time, money, and a good dose of patience. Center’d wants to solve these problems. It has a lot of tools to make planning and traveling easy. You can import your contacts, view maps, and events, assign tasks, explore different neighborhoods and much more. See for yourself.
Centerd.com In Their Own Words
“At Center’d, we’ve been thinking about how to solve the challenges that exist in making plans. From the smallest get together, where you just can’t decide on where to eat and oh-my-goodness-I-can’t-take-it- anymore-maybe-I’ll-just-stay-home-and-wash-my-cat, to the large fundraisers and school activities that require signups and hundreds of emails and weeks of meticulous planning, one thing is clear: We can help.”
Why Centerd.com It Might Be A Killer
Center’d’s plan of attack this time about may be something workable. It’s got a lot of new features and the local search engine + planning factor work well together.
Some Questions About Centerd.com
