Created by two former students at Middlebury College, Brighter Planet seeks to get the mass public to promote carbon offsets and environmental sustainability. In the past two years the website has grown leaps and bounds, and Brighter Planet now has a partnership with Bank of America that offers a credit card to purchase carbon offsets as reward points.
Beyond this goal of partnering with and promoting environmentally friendly products, companies, and charities, the site allows members to create profiles and link together, give earth-friendly tips, and learn more about projects that Brighter Planet is supporting.

While the underlying idea is great, the content is disorganized and difficult to navigate. It is jumbled together and should be better explained to the “average Joe.”
