The National Brain Tumor Foundation is a non-profit organization that works nationwide to serve people whose lives have been affected by brain tumors. This organization is devoted to promoting a cure for brain tumors, improving the quality of life of those suffering from this terrible disease, and giving hope to the brain tumor community by providing financial support for research as well as providing patient resources, up-to-date information and education.
Since its founding in 1981 the NBTF has awarded over five million dollars in brain tumor research and is the leading provider of services to brain tumor patients and their families. This organization provides services including a toll-free Patient Information Line, a website, printed publications on the topic, financial assistance, medical information, nurse, patient and caregiver support networks, caregiver workshops, support groups across the United States, the Search newsletter, a monthly e-newsletter, conferences, teleconferences, resources in Spanish, Angel Adventure fundraising walks and community days, Racing Ahead for NBTF program and more.
