Biologist.org is the website of the Company of Biologists, a non-profit organization run by biologist for biologist whose objectives are the advancement and promotion of research and study of biology.
How? By financing three journals, other publications and traveling fellowships for junior scientist as well as grants to societies and related organizations. The three journals are: – Development, Journal of Cell Science and The Journal of Experimental Biology. This Company was founded in 1925; it is limited by Guarantee and it doesn’t have share capital. Since it is a charity none of its directors receive any remuneration. The editors of their publications are professional biologists, they are printed in house and come out twice a month.
