The BetaGroup is a party of web entrepreneurs that hail from Belgium. When they started (in the year 2008) they were mainly involved in the local scene, but now they are connecting angel investors with entrepreneurs across European territories like Germany and Denmark.
So far, the community amounts to over 1,200 members and about 700 come from Belgium Their monthly meetings are free to attend and open to anybody, and any person who is in the industry will find like-minded individuals. Web aficionados can connect with designers and agencies on the spot, whereas advertisers and publishers can meet up with VC’s and business angels effortlessly.

“The BetaGroup is a group of Web Entrepreneurs in Belgium passionate about Internet, Software, Mobile Technologies and Online Media.
The BetaGroup was founded in April 2008 by Jean Derély & Candide Kemmler inviting their friends (Jack, Benjamin, Daniel, Raf, Adji,..), Web Entrepreneurs in Brussels. First we organized casual dinners at friends places to talk about experiences, ideas and opportunities around the web.
In September 2008 the BetaGroup expended through a larger community gathering at the ULB. Our friend Robin invited members of the OpenCofee to join, Patrick invited the members of the IAB and the many partitipants invited their entrepreneur’s friends to join – thank you guys -.
Since then, our monthly meetings at the ULB have brought together more than 500 Web Aficionados.”
