Baagz, which has been recently launched by the search service Exalead, calls itself the first live network of shared interest. At its core, Baagz is a trussed up social bookmarking site cum media navigator.
Users create ‘baagz’ which essentially are folders containing favorites, music, photos, feeds, videos and more. All baagz are searchable which means other users can take advantage of their fellow members’ research and add whatever interests them in to their own baag. As with other networks, members can befriend each other and set up alerts for keeping up to date with any changes made in their friends’ baagz. Baagz works with IE, Firefox and Safari, with Opera functionality coming soon.

More important, BAAGZ fosters a collaborative environment where you can connect with others on the Web who share similar interests – whether it be hobbies, travel, music or news –and enhance this content with new ideas, in effect contributing to the expansion of the Web.”
Why Baagz.com It Might Be A Killer
Baagz does have a slick and sleek look to it. It essentially adds a more visual appeal to the social bookmarking department; besides that it leverages the community as a whole by making a searchable public pool, thus facilitating discovery and search for its members. It could also open up the so called walled garden of social networking.
