Avaaz is an online community of individuals that group together in order to take action on the most pivotal issues that face the world today, and ensure that the views and values of the world’s people will shape global decisions. The core of Avaaz is its e-mail list, which is available in thirteen languages.
Upon subscribing and becoming a member of Avaaz, the individual will start receiving news alerts appertaining to urgent global issues, and opportunities to achieve change. The members of the community combine the time they have available with what money they can provide, and create a collective force that can send thousands of messages to political leaders, hold rallies across the globe, or donate money to non-violent protests.
