Well, it seemed like a decade since you have ever heard about AOL, but you see, times goes by and here it is again: reloaded and british, although in any case it is not very much so. Unlike its similar pairs, this web veteran has managed to present a bit of a new look, and a rather interesting and wide-reaching selection of news (don’t miss the travel section), and happily it is quite mild on the Big Brother and celebrity news.
It carries all the regular social networking features: e-mail box, photolog, profile and so on. Some will find odd and in tune with Bob Dylan’s “the times they are changin’” to see that aol.uk’s search engine is powered by no other than Google, but hey, the page does what it has to do, and keeps the dating and forums stuff to a minimum, and is that not a matter of celebration nowadays?
