The American Airlines Center was build bearing in mind giving Dallasites a spectacular, fan friendly place with a high amount of technological modernity. It was designed by David M.
Schwartz Architectural Services and with the collaboration of HKS.inc. The result was a state of the art building with amazing views of downtown Dallas over the public plaza and skyline. What makes American Airlines Center different than all the other stadiums in the country is its one of a kind seat system which allows fast conversion between Basketball and Hockey arenas. Another feature which makes this stadium unique is its roof, which is only supported at its four corners and then held from side to side by steel rods embedded on the floor, this way, there are less columns and less nuisances for spectators. What is more, it’s got four entrances, one on each side of the complex and the four lobbies are different from each other and they have a unique view of the City of Dallas.
