ABCs Of How To Start A Successful Blog – What You Can Learn From Blogger Perez Hilton

Are you a blogger or were you once was a blogger in your past life? Maybe you had an awesome blog while during your college years. Your witty insightfulness kept you at the top of the blogosphere. How did you stay afloat above the others?

Keeping Your Blog Alive

Hopefully your blog didn’t flat line and send itself to an early grave. If it didn’t, you probably have done some marvelous works and met some great folks as a blogger. For the successful bloggers, there have probably been some bumps in the blog road along the way. Those who have seen much success in blogging probably had to work for it and the notoriety probably took awhile before people started noticing your name. I’m sure it took Perez Hilton (Is he still popular?) a while to gain followers. He probably wasn’t an overnight success. But once his name and his blogs and video logs caught on, the blogosphere meant success for him. He struck blog gold with his rants about famous celebs.

Not sure if Hilton and other famous blog celebs worked alone but strength in numbers tends to work great. Finding people that are interested in your topic can help you build fans and readership. These folks become your personal cheerleaders and will pass on the goodness of your blog… go team! Without a fan base you’re basically a person that talks to himself or herself through a blog. How sad is that?

It’s Not Always Pretty In The Blog World

I think of the sports writers and online critics of movies, games, etc, etc. I wonder how they deal with negative responses by the readers. Everything, as you know, isn’t pretty in the world of blogging. There are those people that can really tear down your blog and make you look bad.

For some, that is fun, taking that risk of making it or not. But when you make it on top, pat yourself on the back. You have fans and friends that like to read your material. How cool are you?

Though it seems like hard work at first: blogging, securing a fan-base and updating your blog all the time. After everything is all up and running you can gain satisfaction from being the talk of the blog town. As with anything, keep at it and ignore the evils that come your way. Whether it’s through hateful, negative comments on your blog or rival bloggers putting you down. Overcome the evil and keep your blog fresh and constantly updated.
