People who love nothing best than seeing the world through the lens of their cameras are surely loving this new site to bits. 500px is a new photo community where both those who are new to the world of photography and the ones who have devoted their whole lives to it can connect with each other, and conduct photography-related conversations. The site enables all of them to upload their very own art, and then have it voted by fellow community members.
Moreover, users of 500px are allowed to build professional-looking portfolios and direct prospective clients to them. They will be able to choose the layouts and the themes that would fit their artistic visions best, and have everything presented in a truly integer way.
And the best photos that have been uploaded to the site (as chosen by 500px’s editorial team) are all highlighted on the “Editor’s Choice” section. And there’s also another section where the best images (according to users of the site) are featured. There’s even an Upcoming section, so those of you weaned on Digg will find the site’s interface more than familiar.
This is not the first photo sharing community to be released (remember Snapixel?), but it’s certainly one of the slickest. Everything is in the right place. If you have an eye for photography, you could never fail to find it fulfilling.
